Died 24th June 2026. Peacefully at home surrounded by his family. Pre-deceased by his parents Joseph and Elizabeth and sister Mary Kate. Sadly missed by his loving wife Betty (Bessie), son Gerard, daughter Majella, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Reposing at Lawless’ Funeral Home, Mucklagh Village (R35 C5P6) on Thursday 25th June 2026 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm followed by Removal to St. Carthage Church, Killina. Requiem Mass on Friday at 10:00 am. Burial afterwards in Rahan Cemetery. House Private Please

Brendan died on June 11th, 2026, peacefully, at Tullamore Regional Hospital. He was fondly known around Moate as “Keeshan” . He was predeceased by his beloved parents James and Eileen and infant brother Carthage.

Deeply regretted by his brothers Alo (UK), and Aidan (Killina), sister Bernadette (UK), sister-in-law Martina, Alo’s partner Lynne, Bernadette’s partner Jim, niece Emma, nephews Chris, Jason and Karl, grandnieces, cousins, extended family, his wonderful friends, especially Christina and Pat and all his many friends in the music business.

Brendan will repose at Lawless’ Funeral Home, Mucklagh Village (R35 C5P6) on Sunday evening (June 14th) from 4pm until Removal at 6pm to St. Carthage’s Church, Killina arriving at 6,30pm. His Requiem Mass will be celebrated on Monday (June 15th) at 11am, and may be viewed on https://rahanparish.ie/killina-webcam/. Brendan will be laid to rest afterwards in Rahan Cemetery.
