t is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of PJ (Patrick Joseph) Healion. PJ passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family in the tender care of the doctors and nurses of Tullamore Hospital on 25th March 2025.

Pre-deceased by his parents Joe and Ellen, his brothers Sean, Vinnie and his sister Bridie. Much loved daddy to Evelyn and Ciara and adored by his cherished grandchildren Amelie and Callum. Fondly remembered and sadly missed by his brothers Noel, Josie, Liam and sisters Mary (Mulligan) and Betty (Daly), sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and a wide circle of friends. PJ’s character, wit, kindness and spirit touched lives of all who knew him. His memory will live in the countless hearts he impacted throughout his life.

PJ will repose in Lawless’ Funeral Home, Mucklagh Village (R35 C5P6) on Friday evening 28th March 2025 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. A celebration of his life will take place on Saturday 29th March 2025 at 11:00 am in St. Colman’s Church Mucklagh (R35 VO45), followed by burial in the adjoining Cemetery.

John McLOUGHLIN Murrough, Rahan, Offaly
March 14, 2025

John died on March 14th 2025, peacefully at home with his family. He was predeceased by his beloved parents, John and Anna and sister Mary. John will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his loving wife Bridie, son Mark, daughter Niamh, brothers and sisters, Leonard, Dolores, Tony, Kathleen, Phyllis, Terri, Joann and Nuala, aunt Tessie, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.

John will repose at his home on Sunday (March 16th) from 3pm to 7pm. Removal on Monday afternoon (St. Patrick’s Day) to St Carthage’s Church, Killina, where his Requiem Mass will be celebrated at 1.30pm and may be viewed on https://rahanparish.ie/.killina-webcam/. Interment afterwards in Rahan Cemetery.

Peacefully at the Regional Hospital Tullamore. Pre-deceased by his infant son Peter. Tony will be sadly missed by his loving wife Kathleen, sons Kevin, Ted, Damien and Noel, daughter Mary, daughters-in-law Patricia, Linda, Grace and Violet, son-in-law Shane, his adored grandchildren and great- grandson, brother Pat, sister Mary (Quinn), nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and many friends.

Reposing at O’Reilly’s Funeral Home, Harbour Street, Tullamore (R35 FC84), on Friday from 3.30pm until 5.30pm. Removal from the home of his daughter Mary, Sragh Road, Tullamore, on Saturday at 1.30pm to St Colman’s Church, Mucklagh, arriving for Funeral Mass at 2pm. Burial after Mass in the adjoining Old Cemetery.

Kathleen EGAN (née Tooman) Late of Killurin, Boora and Kilcormac, Offaly
March 10, 2025

Died peacefully in her 98th year in the loving care of the staff of Carthage Nursing Home, Mucklagh surrounded by her family. Pre-deceased by her husband Michael and siblings. Sadly missed by her children Miriam, Rena, Tom, Connie, Michael, Joe and Donal, sons-in-law Pat (RIP), Con and Michael, daughters-in-law Brede, Anne, Frances and Tracey, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Reposing in Lawless’ Funeral Home, Mucklagh Village (R35 C5P6) on Wednesday 12th March 2025 from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm followed by Removal to St. Colman’s Church, Mucklagh arriving 6:45 pm. Requiem Mass on Thursday at 11:00 am. Burial afterwards in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Kilcormac. Eamon Carroll, Canal Line, Killiskea, Tullamore, Co. Offaly, peacefully March 2nd. 2025 in the wonderful care of the staff at the Midlands Regional Hospital, Tullamore, with his loving family by his side. Pre-decease by his father Ned and his Mother Margaret. Sadly missed by his sister Moira Dunne and his brother Michael, his brother-in-law Ray, sister-n-law Catherine, his nephew David, nieces Fiona(London),Julie, aunts Ester and Nancy, grandnieces Chloe and Maise, grandnephew Daniel, cousins and many friends.

Reposing in O` Reilly`s Funeral Home, Harbour Street. Tullamore on Wednesday (05/03/2025) from 4:00pm until removal at 6:15pm to St. Coleman’s Church, Mucklagh arriving for 7:00pm funeral prayers. Funeral Mass Thursday at 11:00am followed by cremation in the Lakelands Crematorium, Cavan.

Peacefully surrounded by his loving family in the exceptional care of all the staff of Riada House and Day Care, Tullamore, after a long illness bravely borne. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife Marai and his family Lucy, Michael, Cathy and Glynnda, sons in law, partner, grandchildren and a special family friend Caroline Lawlor and all his much loved brothers and sisters Betty, Gerry, Maurice, Kathleen, John, Mike and Madge, nieces, nephews, friends and neighbours. Pat is now reunited with his sister and parents.

Peacefully in her 103rd year, in the wonderful care of the staff in Carthage Nursing Home, Mucklagh. Pre-deceased by her loving husband Joe, parents Michael and Annie Feeney, brothers Michael, William and Jim, sisters Molly and Madge. Deeply regretted by her extended family and friends.

Reposing at Carthage Nursing Home on Monday from 4pm until Rosary at 5pm. Removal on Tuesday to St. Colman’s Church, Mucklagh, arriving for Funeral Mass at 2pm. Burial after Mass in the adjoining New Cemetery.

Mary BUCKLEY (née Duffy) Newtown, Rahan, Offaly
February 1, 2025

Mary died on February 1st 2025, peacefully in the care of her loving family at home in her 98th year. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Jimmy, daughter Kathleen, parents Catherine and Michael, brothers John and Owen and sisters Lill and Anna Marie.

Mary will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by her loving daughters, Maureen, Geraldine and Imelda, sons, Thomas, Aidan and Gerry, brother Michael, sisters Kathleen and Josie, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, brother-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Mary will repose at her home on Monday (Feb. 3rd) from 3pm to 7pm. Removal on Tuesday morning (Feb. 4th) to St. Carthage’s Church, Killina, where her Requiem Mass will be celebrated at 11am. Interment afterwards in Rahan Cemetery.
