Rahan Comhaltas is delighted to be in the position of celebrating a big 30th anniversary this year. As part of the celebrations the branch plan to host a trip down Memory Lane, in Rahan Hall, on Saturday October 24th next. The day will start at 2pm, with an array of photos videos and memorabilia on display from 2-5pm. Members will then have an open session from 6.30pm -8pm and are very excited to have a newly composed song especially for the occasion. “The Stage in Rahan Hall”. They are also incorporating our Ceilí Bands, Árd Eiscir and Cairde Failí. The hard-working committee have designed a booklet and a calendar full of articles and photographs gathered from times past and times present.The hospitality group are busy preparing to entertain all who call during the day for treats in the kitchen. From 9pm on Sturday 24th there will be a Céilí with “Rise the Dust”, which promises to be a great night’s dancing and craic, as always. On Sunday, October 25th the branch will conclude celebrations with Mass in Killina Church at 10.30am. The Comhaltas Mass is always a very special celebration. A weekend not to be missed.
