New Pastoral Areas have been established in the Diocese. Our Pastoral Area includes, Rahan,Kilbeggan, Tullamore, Kilcormack and Eglsih. Weekly Masses and events will be  organised within the Area to suit the number of priest available at any time. Each Parish must now decide: What can we do for ourselves, what can we do for one another, and what can we do together. Each Pastoral Area will meet over the coming months to review, the Mass schedules in the area, to ensure that priests can cover for each other in times of vacation,  bereavement, or illness, etc. They will also decide on which course should be run and at which venues, e.g. Training Ministers of the Word or the Eucharist, Sycamore or You Cat programmes and other areas like pre-baptism meetings. It I is hoped that the Pastoral Areas in the Diocese will be inaugurated in September.
