National Ploughing Championsips and Jubilee Year of Hope Dear /Parents /Children Young people To coincide with the National Ploughing Championships due to be held at Screggan from 16th — 18 th September and to coincide with the Jubilee Year of Hoe in our churches we are inviting children and young people 1. To compose a poem .There is much in common between Ploughing and Hope. The Hope is that the ploughed fields of Spring will produce a rich harvest in the Autumn. The poem can include words like plough, tilling , seeds, harvest , soil tractor ,etc All entries to be on an A4 page laminated if possible and typed or hand wriiten. And / Or 2. Draw a picture or make up a collage to incorporate the Theme of Ploughing and Hope again on an A4 page and laminated. Entries with persons name and age below poem or picture /collage to be returned to child’s /young persons school or parish office in Mucklagh by Wednesday 10th September at 6pm All entries will be displayed in Mucklagh church for a Mass of Blessing for the Ploughing to be held in the Church on Sat. 13th September at 7.30pm.Saturday 13th /Sunday 14th September.Celebrations to mark National Ploughing and Harvest Thanksgiving
