Jubilee of Youth During this week from 28th July – 4th August, a group of 38 pilgrims along with Bishop Tom Deenihan, will represent the Diocese as they participate in the Jubilee of Youth, which will culminate in the Jubilee Mass celebrated by Pope Leo XIV in Rome on Sunday 3rd August.  Please keep these young pilgrims in your prayers as they join thousands from every corner of the world for this great witness of Hope in the Lord. Message of Pope Leo to young people gathered  in Rome at the opening of the Jubilee of Youth, The Holy Father welcomes young people to St. Peter’s Square,  inviting them to pray for peace: “Let us walk together with our faith in Jesus Christ.” The Holy Father reminded the young pilgrims that they are “the salt of the earth, the light of the world. ”And today your voices, your enthusiasm, your cries — all of them for Jesus Christ — will be heard to the ends of the earth!” said Leo XIV. “Today marks the beginning of a few days, a journey, the Jubilee of Hope, and the world needs messages of hope. You are that message, and you must continue bringing hope to everyone,” the Pope emphasized. “We hope that all of you will always be signs of hope in the world,” Pope Leo continued. “Today we are at the beginning. In the coming days, you will have the opportunity to be a force that brings God’s grace, a message of hope, a light to the city of Rome, to Italy, and to the entire world. Let us walk together with our faith in Jesus Christ. And our cry must also be for peace in the world. Let us all say together: We want peace in the world!
