Blessing for Mothers on Mother’s Day Loving God, as a mother gives life and nourishment to her children, so you watch over your Church. Bless our mothers with happiness so that they may be a blessing to their families and to all in their care. May Jesus, the Son of Mary, be their Protector to give them strength and health and peace. May the Holy Spirit, the Lord and giver of life, shield them from all harm so that their faith and love may shine forth. Grant that we, their sons and daughters, may honour them always with a spirit of respect and gratitude through Christ our Lord, Amen
